Chocolate Covered Strawberry
Vegan Protein Shake
This is one of my all-time favorite protein shakes, as it is packed with vegan protein and greens, and it tastes great. I usually have frozen strawberries in the freezer and my Arbonne chocolate protein on hand. And adding a large handful of spinach to my smoothies, is a wonderful way to add more greens without even tasting it!
HINT: If you find your spinach begins to get soggy because you’re not eating it quick enough, just store it in a gallon-sized freezer bag and freeze. This is such a great way to keep spinach on hand and it’s easy to break off a large handful of spinach to add to your smoothie.
Ingredients:
-
1 cup almond milk
-
Large handful of frozen strawberries (about 1-2 cups)
-
Large handful of spinach (about 2 cups)
-
2 scoops of vegan protein
-
For extra health:
-
1 scoop of MushroomPowder Daily Defense
-
1 scoop of GutHealth Prebiotic Fiber
-
1 scoop of BeWell SuperfoodGreens powder
-
1 scoop of Daily Multivitamin & Mineral powder
-

Black Forest, Superfood Protein Smoothie
It’s Cherry Season – one of my favorite fruits. I’ve been enjoying them as a snack, and wanted to use them in a protein smoothie and it was just the treat tonight after my exercise class. With a lot of health benefits:
“Cherries are a medicinal powerhouse fruit that are packed with vitamins A, C, E, and minerals such as iron, zinc, potassium, and manganese. The high levels of anthocyanins and antioxidants found in cherries make them an excellent food to help the body fight against neurological diseases, diabetes, and breast, lung, colon, and stomach cancers.” (from Medical Medium.com)
With all of these benefits, “May I have some more please?”
Plus adding about 2 cups of spinach – With greens you can’t go wrong! Spinach, and other greens, provide alkalinity to the body, plus so much more– which is great at fighting against disease. And when you add it to a smoothie, you will never even taste it!
Here’s how to make a new favorite smoothie:
• ½ banana, frozen
• 1 cup cherries, fresh or frozen
• 2 cups spinach
• 1 scoop of superfood green powder (I use Arbonne’s SuperFood Greens)
• 1 scoop mushroom powder, for added immunity boost (I use Arbonne’s Mushroom Powder)
• 2 scoops chocolate vegan protein powder (I use Arbonne’s Feel Fit Vegan Protein)
• handful of ice with fresh cherries, ice not necessary when using frozen cherries
• 8 oz of almond milk
• 1-2 oz of water

Add in order of listed in a blender. Blend thoroughly.
Enjoy your Superfood Black Forest Smoothie!
Healthy & Delicious! (Arbonne products can be found: www.JeannineQuigley.Arbonne.com )

PB&J Smoothie
- Just like I remember!
This recipe brought me back to my childhood memories of my daily school lunches. I was so blessed to have had my mom make me a lunch everyday all through grade school and high school….She would make it fresh every morning before I left on the bus, what a gift that was!
Two of my favorite sandwiches were Peanut Butter & Jelly and Bologna. Back in the day, I also remember a time where I bought a pint of milk for my lunch for $.07 and that paired well with my PB & J too. And I can’t forget that Wednesdays were “chocolate milk day,” yippee! It was extra special when I had the “crunchy” peanut butter and strawberry or raspberry jelly was preferred, even though we did have grape jelly too.
This protein shake was absolutely amazing as it replicates my childhood memories of what I ate practically every day. The base is peanut buttery and then adding the slightly tart fruit portion on top really complement each other. Do you remember your childhood school lunches? I hope making this shake takes you back to a fond memory too.
In blender for Peanut Butter Layer:
-
1 frozen banana (can use room temperature also)
-
2 Tbsp peanut butter
-
1 Tbsp Oats, gluten free
-
½ cup nut milk (almond or coconut to keep it vegan)
-
Blend well and pour into a glass. Put in freezer.
Jelly Layer: use the same pitcher to blend (no need to wash out) -
½ cup frozen raspberries or strawberries
-
1 scoop of Arbonne Vegan Vanilla Protein
-
1 tsp flax seeds
-
1 cup nut milk (almond or coconut work well)
-
Blend well.
Then pour “jelly layer” onto the “peanut butter layer.” Serve and enjoy! -
NOTE: When I poured the “jelly” into the “peanut butter” layer, the flavors did not mix in the glass. Keeping them separate and eating the smoothie with a spoon, gave you a taste similar to a PJ & J sandwich for sure!

Shamrock-Mock Shake - Arbonne Style
Feeling a little lucky……I found a delicious meal to share with you, as it’s that time of year when the infamous McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes are available. This was so simple to make and the ingredients are usually in your kitchen. Once you see the Nutritional comparisons below, I have a feeling you will think twice about
McDonald’s VS Arbonne’s! AND….. Not only am I sure you will like how healthy the Mock Shake is, you will also love the taste! We sure are “lucky” for the deliciousness and health this Shamrock-Mock shake brings!

1 cup almond milk

Pumpkin Protein Latte
Who doesn’t like a creamy, rich Latte? You will never miss the sugar or dairy in this spectacular recipe. I had this as an evening snack without any guilt. With only 3.5 grams of sugar and 103 calories total, you can’t go wrong, especially when you compare it to a Starbucks Pumpkin Latte! Starbucks contains 50 grams of sugar and 380 calories --- OH MY!
The Arbonne Vanilla Protein Powder filled me up and was a perfect, healthy snack. And it only took me about 3 minutes to whip it up.
During this “pumpkin” season, you will definitely want to try this!
Cheers~

1 cup non-dairy milk (Almond, coconut, oat)

Not-So-Boring Cup of Tea!
I discovered the taste of Rooibos tea a few years ago from a health podcast I was listening to…. Which one? Good luck, as I am always listening and learning to something new. I would encourage you to try it. It is a great alternative to coffee. The reason I say that, is the Rooibos tea has ‘body’ to it, similar to coffee, which is amazing to me. There is no caffeine, so no worry on ‘when’ to drink it. When you add the almond milk and honey, watch out! You will fall in love immediately!
-
1 rooibos tea bag, steeped in hot water according to directions
-
1 -2 Tbsp coconut milk
-
1 Tbsp raw honey
Mix all together and enjoy!

Blueberries & Almonds, Really?
Almonds and Blueberries? A while back, my team and I were giving a Healthy Living from the Inside Out presentation to a group of people, and one of my teammates made a protein smoothie for us to try. I couldn’t believe when I saw her put in almonds in the smoothie--- With a funny face as I was observing her, I was thinking, “That’s kinda weird.” Once I tried it, OMGosh, it was amazing. The almonds actually gave it a wonderful flavor and I highly recommend trying it. You never know, it may be your NEW FAV!
-
8 oz of almond milk
-
1 cup of frozen blueberries
-
2 scoops of Vegan vanilla protein (I use Arbonne protein powder—hands down, the best)
